Got to our anchorage about 13:30. I did some fishing and we both went swimming. It was very warm this afternoon; 96 degrees with just a slight breeze. Dover Island area is just beautiful. We anchored just behind the island in about 28 feet of water. It is a little deeper than we usually do and we ended putting out 65' of rode. We would definitely come back to this anchorage.
CO's comments: I had to tie a rope on Bobbie because the current was so strong she would have floated away. She would not have had enough strength to get back to the boat on her own. Boy I like my AIS!

I have been following your blog since we met at Aqua Harbor Marina in the fall of 2010! You have covered many miles of waterways since then!
ReplyDeleteYou are now doing a trip that we want to do in the next couple years. We just arrived back in the States (Florida) after spending 5 months in the Bahama's, island hopping. A very different kind of boating from up in MN on the Mississippi!
When we bought our boat, our dream was always to go to the islands. We will be going back again this winter and hopefully head up to the Cumberland next spring.

Denise, We remember you from Aqua Yacht Harbor. I tried to find your e-mail address on AGLCA but came up with a different name under Orion. I did become a follower on you blog and website. The Cumberland River is beautiful and you would enjoy it. It is funny; we would love to do the Bahama's some day and now even more after reading your website.
