July 23, 2013; Pebble Isle Marina, TN

When we returned to the boat the water was very high for normal summer pool.  As of today the water has gone down a good 5'.  Last week we took a drive up to see our friends on Roy El over in Nashville, TN.  Elvie is hanging in there and doing the best she can.  She has a very positive attitude and that helps.  Roy is becoming quite the care giver.

Saturday night they had a “Parking Lot” dance here at Pebble Isle.  They had 2 bands, beer, food, and lots of people.  It was a very hot day with high humidity and everyone had on their air  conditioners.  When it came time for the band to turn all their equipment on it proved to be too much and a transformer blew.  So everyone was without   electricity for about an hour.  So glad they got it fixed.

Keith bought me a new seat for the dinghy; nice and padded with a back on it.  It looks real nice.  He also bought himself a new toy; a kayak and he is having fun paddling around the marina.  He was doing pretty good until the other day when he came back from his ride.  When trying to get out he tipped the kayak over; if only I had my camera ready!  One wet old marine.  Yesterday and today it went much better when he disembarked.

CO’s comments:  I have said it before but I will say it again; life is good
